What denomination is Faith Connection Church?
FCC is a non-denominational church. We love our "denominational" friends and are not opposed to denominations, only when their over-emphasis of differences lead to division in the body of Christ rather than unity. Though we are an independent church, we are overseen by a reputable Board of Overseers (our presbytery), and are networked with like-minded churches around the world that are focused on reaching the next generation for Christ.
Where is your meeting place?
FCC meets on Sunday mornings 10:30am at the Ooltewah Athletic Campus. We meet in the Fit One Activity Center. Our children (K-5) join us for the first worship song, then are dismissed for a creative children's worship and teaching experience. We have small groups (LifeGroups) that meet at different locations throughout the month and SERVE teams that do outreach every week in our community.
How should I dress?
Our overall environment is relaxed and casual. We are a "come-as-you-are" church. You may see shorts, t-shirts, jeans, polos, skirts, capris, dresses, and slacks. We just want you to be comfortable and feel at home with new friends, so come as you are. We mean that!
What are the people like?
We have a "SMALL" church feel and a "BIG" church vision. That means we are small enough for you to experience meaningful relationships, yet our vision is big enough to change the world, starting right here in Chattanooga. At FCC, you’ll find people like you and different from you. That's okay because we celebrate our diversity! What's cool is that every person is valued for who they are - a real person loved by God and valued in their uniqueness, regardless of the things that make us different. Some words that describe the people at FCC are “fun, friendly, real, open, serving, accepting, committed, and loving.” So come as you are, and please, be YOURSELF!
What happens during your worship gathering?
• A Christ-centered, contemporary, passionate, and uplifting worship experience.
• A message that is relevant, practical, and Biblical.
• A time to meet and greet friends.
• Free refreshments: coffee and donuts.
• Communion the first Sunday of each month.
What are the messages like?
Each week we present creative, biblical, and relevant messages that you can apply to your life. If you are just checking out church for the first time, you’ll understand the messages. And if you’ve been a Christ-follower for years, expect to be challenged in your faith and grow in your relationship with God.
How long do services last?
Our services are typically 75-85 minutes.
What about my children?
Kidz Connection is a creative, fun, and energetic worship experience for children K thru 5th grade. Children begin church in the main worship center (Fit One Activity Center) with their parents for the first worship song and then are dismissed with our incredible children's workers to have their own teaching experience.
