Outreach
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:17-18 ESV)
Join a Faith In Action serve team and reach out to the elderly, inner city kids, homeless, low-income neighborhoods, underprivileged children, at-risk youth, and under-served communities throughout our city.
Make a difference!
At FCC, our dream is to take the walls off of church and let our actions speak much louder than our words.
Our Faith In Action teams are here to serve the community through strategic service projects, outreach initiatives, and compassion ministries.
Some of these ministries may include:
- Neighborhood outreach for low-income families
- Outreach to inner-city kids
- Outreach to the homeless
- Ministry to the incarcerated
- Service projects for the elderly and disabled
- Domestic assistance for single parents
- After school programs for at-risk youth
- Home repair and renovation for the needy
- ... and many other community initiatives
“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be.
(Deuteronomy 15:7-8 ESV)
I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and will execute justice for the needy. (Psalm 140:12 ESV)
